How far along? 18 weeks

Total weight gain: 18 lbs (that is about 10 too many)

Maternity clothes? Yep, I have been wearing maternity tops and skirts since day 1

Stretch marks? none yet

Sleep: I wake up a lot more and have to reposition, but it isnt that bad.

Best moment this week: Going to the doctors and hearing the heartbeat.

Miss Anything? Wearing bathing suits and laying by the pool all day haha.

Movement: I think I might have felt something a few times but I’m not really sure.

Food cravings: garlic bread, pasta, anything with cheese

Anything making you queasy or sick: smells mostly, especially ground beef cooking

Gender: still unknown (two more weeks)

Labor Signs: none luckily

Symptoms: Major weight gain, terrible complexion, hurting hips, lack of energy

Belly Button in or out? in, and it better stay that way

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: about half and half.

Looking forward to: my ultra sound appointment on the 14th of May!!!!

It seems like my belly really isnt getting that much bigger, but my face and my arms are haha.  Hopefully soon you will be able to tell that I am actually pregnant and not just gaining weight from getting married.

Marla Hooch

I have decided that any picture of me taken before the birth of my child must be in the style of Marla Hooch, from a Leage of Our Own. I dont know how many people have seen that movie, but there is one girl on the baseball team named Marla Hooch who is rather unfortunate looking and so they only show her in pictures from very far away.  I am beginning to feel like those are the kind of pictures I want to have taken of me.

Tabor took me on a date to the local tulip festival yesterday and it made me so happy.  I love flowers and I love being outside in this beautiful weather. It was so nice to get out and walk around. He is such a wonderful husband.

Idaho for the weekend

Tabor and I went up to his parents house for the weekend.  We had a great time, but the trip seemed way too short.  It always seems a little silly to me to drive 6 hours one way for a 2 day trip. Especially now that I have to take much more frequent bathroom breaks haha.

The reason we went up there was because our nephew Lincoln came into town from Tennessee and we couldnt pass up a chance to visit him.  We had a great time working outside all day on Saturday in the beautiful Idaho sunshine. It was great to finally get to spend some time in the sun.

We have a lot of trips planned this summer.  We acutally discovered that we dont have any available weekends untill mid June.  It looks like it is going to be a busy summer.

Tabor was trying to impress me with how manly he is.  It worked.

We had so much fun playing outside with Lincoln.  He is such a fun kid.  He was so proud of himself when he chopped down a tree all by himself.

We also go to see Tyler and Zhohnann's kids who are so cute.  Baby Abria is so happy all the time.

Cousins

My cousins have always been by best friends.  I have the most wonderful cousins on both sides of the family who I can not imagine my life without. About two weeks ago I got to go up to Idaho to spend some time with my cousins Katie and Geri and their adorable children. We had such a good time doing absolutely nothing. While I was there I surprised them with the big news of my pregnancy and for the rest of the trip we did nothing but talk about babies and pregnancy, and I loved it.  Katie and Geri are both such great mothers and are such a good example to me.  I hope that I can be like them someday.

I made these little onesies and shirts for all of Katie and Geris girlies.  Makenzie and Mallory are such cute best cousins.

Riley wanted to go with me on an errand and this is the outfit she decided to wear.  I love that little girl so much.  She has the most adorable voice.

This is also Riley. She was sitting on the floor pouting so I picked her up and set her in my lap and she fell asleep within seconds with her legs crossed and her tiny hands by her face.

The day I got home from my trip to Idaho Larkie had her baby.  Little baby Brittan was born March 31 and she is just adorable.  Tabor and I got to go to her blessing on Monday and thenthe rest of the day with Larkie and her family and her parents and sister who are in town.  We had such a great Easter with them.

Brittan is such a happy baby.

I am so grateful that I have so many wonderful cousin and that I live close enough that I get to spend time with some of them.  They always make me so happy.

Pretty Dang Exciting ehh...

Well I guess since I am going to be a mom soon I should probably start keeping up with my blog. Yep, thats right I'm pregnant. Due October 1, which makes me about 14 1/2 weeks along.  Tabor and I are both so excited! It is crazy to think that we will have a baby before our 1 year anniversiary. We both really want kids and since we have both graduated and have good jobs we decided why wait.  So far I have been lucky.  I have not had any symptoms, besides weight gain of course, and I am feeling good.

Here is the first of many potentially embarassing pregnancy pictures.  This is at 14 weeks.

We decided to tell my parents via skype, since they live in Pennyslvania, so we got this cute onesie for my one and only neice Ellie and used her to make the big announcement. My parents are so excited, and of course Tabors are as well!
(Isnt Ellie Just the cutest thing you have ever seen!)

We get to find out what we are having in about 6 weeks and hopefully that will help me narrow down my name choices.  I am really having a hard time deciding on anything I love.  I never realized what a big deal it is to give a child a name.  I have to keep asking myself if this is the name I want to give my child for the rest of their life.  Does my daughter really want to be called Maple Thayn forever?  Will my son Pike Thayn be made fun of because he is named after a big ugly fish? (dont worry those names are no longer on my name list, although they were there for a brief time).

Well I guess that is all for now.  I am excited for this whole new experience.
